Hood College student Pierre Saint-Louis ’22 is a winner of the Jules and Gwenn Knapp Enactus Ambassador Scholarship. His award is $2,500 for educational purposes.

This scholarship recognizes Enactus students for leadership, teamwork and educational achievements. It is awarded to students who embody the Enactus mantra of enabling progress through entrepreneurial action.

“This past fall, Pierre joined the Enactus club and immediately had an impact,” said David Gurzick, Hood’s Enactus adviser. “A key member of his project team, he helped lead the group to develop the ‘recycling the school’ program. This project involved a significant command of operational intuition as the group collected used items from graduating seniors and resold them at a discount to freshmen who could not afford to buy some of those items. This provided access to needed school materials and prevented this waste from going to a landfill.”

Saint-Louis is also a Chair of the Board Scholar at Hood College, the most prestigious scholarship the College offers.
