Angelica Jackson is just one of the many Maryland residents who benefit from MICUA’s outstanding independent colleges and universities.

Thanks to help from the Sellinger Program—the vehicle for providing State support to independent colleges and universities—MICUA institutions provide over 15,000 grants to Maryland students every year. Scholarship programs have many goals, but the two most popular are to make independent higher education more affordable for Maryland residents and to ensure that the race, ethnicity, and gender of Maryland students attending independent colleges are representative of the State.
